Inverse Training and Inverse Culture (Electric Motorcycles) (1)

Today, science and technology play a crucial role in improving our quality of life and technology keeps supplying new inventions to the market to promote human welfare and tranquility. The majority of these inventions considerably help reduce energy consumption and satisfy us if accompanied by basic initial training and proper selection of customers. Among these technologies are electric vehicles, particularly motorcycles, that will inevitably be used in major cities of Iran sooner or later in an attempt to reduce air and noise pollution to take serious steps towards less fossil fuel consumption. Countries like the Netherlands, which are far greener and less polluted than Iran, would prohibit the use of fossil fuels for intra-city vehicles in the near future and move towards vehicle electrification quickly.

The rich Iranian culture has become one of the current biggest problems, making Iranians feel no need for modern training and keep resisting changes in their living conditions even towards ideal conditions by relying on their past achievements. For instance, it took many years to use computers in the archives of offices and organizations, and the use of some technologies is unnecessarily widespread in Iran before providing proper training and the right culture of their use. The proliferation of mobile phone technology was the second example, creating the illusion of being skillful for some motorcyclists and car drivers to receive calls and even text when using them. Loud, long and unnecessary mobile calls in public places and crowded vehicles have created much noise pollution, and warnings given to these perpetrators of noise pollution not only prove useless in stopping them, but also inspire their surprise and anger.

Electric motorcycles are also a new technology which can help us reduce pollution in our cities using proper training, experience of the world's major companies, a modern and systematic program without hurry and even waste of time, the most competent experts, and the major Iranian and foreign companies, taking into account the general standards. People's demand for electric motorcycles could be met by manufacturing and importing light and more powerful varieties.

Upon access to the labor market, electric motorcycles, like the majority of new products, have many problems and defects, which need more time and progress to be solved. We could take an effective step in reducing air and noise pollution by supplying highest-quality electric motorcycles, or discourage and demotivate the future customers or delay their motivation by supplying them with low-quality vehicles.

The shift to electric vehicles is inevitable, but the time could be brought forward or postponed by specialists, importers and manufacturers of this guild with the help of the government and financial institutions support. The high price of the motorcycle batter requires a precise and comprehensive plan for their buyers who must be ensured that they encounter no problems in buying new batteries at the end of the warranty period. This is one of the problems that should be considered and solved by the government and the banks and financial institutions authorities. After-sales service and spare-parts supply, particularly their batteries, must be ensured by suppliers, and the accessories and covers of these models, which exceed those of gas-powered types due to the large number of batteries and their covers, should be easily accessible to customers at reasonable prices. We should appreciate and encourage the electric vehicle riders since they play a crucial role in reducing air and noise pollution in our cities despite the initial problems of such plans. Effective organizations such as the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran, the Traffic Police of NAJA (RAHVAR), the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and even drivers and pedestrians should provide effective incentives for such motorcyclists, such as the use of good and accessible stories of parking lots, allow them to enter the designated and alternate-day traffic schedules, entry into some parking lots such as those of hospitals, where other motorcycles are not allowed to enter due to their strange noise, and many other incentive plans to encourage the use of electric motorcycles instead of gas-powered. Artificial standard sound should be used currently and at least prior to complete training and before other drivers, especially pedestrians, get used to it, so that this so-called "silent murderer" which will be explained later on, be removed. It is important to comply with traffic laws such as the right of way, overtaking to the left of vehicles, prohibition to pass through one-way streets, sidewalks and public passageways of special lines, observance of distance, especially lateral distance from other vehicles and other laws which, if not observed, can lead to much more dangerous and horrific accidents. Charging stations also need to be installed initially in public places and subsequently in other places including subway parking lots, universities, markets, fuel dispensers, and multistorey car parks of the municipality. In short, like all large and positive plans, this plan requires the collaboration of all, including people, government practitioners and major Iranian and foreign companies in order to succeed. Like a "silent murderer", electric motorcycles can leave you alone on your path, add a bad day to your painful memories, result in high and irreparable costs, and demotivate you for using it. This occurs when you accept that you have bought a low-quality product from a non-committed and unreliable company and generalize that belief to all electric motorcycles manufactured. This can result in inverse training and consequently inverse culture. I will soon seek to explain in detail how to choose these motorcycles based on the customers' demands, so that this very constructive and useful plan may not be postponed or suspended at least in our mind.
